Q: Whom do I call to order equipment for my classroom?

A: Call our Customer Service team at 517-353-3960, between 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday - Friday.

 

 

Q: What do I do if equipment malfunctions while I am teaching in a technology classroom?

A: Call 517-353-3960. We will immediately dispatch a technician to your classroom. If the problems are related to software or networking, we will work in conjunction with other ATS teams to ensure the problem receives prompt attntion.

 

 

Q: How do I get trained on the equipment in a technology classroom?

A: We'll be glad to train you, call 517-353-3921. We regularly schedule workshops throughout the academic year. Or, we will meet with you on-site in the classroom.

 

 

Q: How much do your services cost?

A: Media equipment for regularly scheduled credit classes is available at no charge. Technical repair and engineering services are available on a fee basis. Please contact the customer service team @353-3960 for cost information.

 

 

Q: We're having trouble with some of our video and audio equipment. Can it be repaired at your office?

A: Yes. Our Technical Services team maintains and repairs a variety of media equipment and printers.  For more information call 517-353-3960.

 

 

Q: How soon can I pick up my computer from the MSU Computer Store?

A: Typical lead times for hardware orders is seven to ten business days.  Software license orders require about five business days.

 

 

Q: Is financing available at the MSU Computer Store?

A: Financing is available from the MSU Credit Union at msufcu.org.

 

 

Q: Does the MSU Computer Store provide tech support or repairs?

A: Hardware and software troubleshooting (15-20 minute limit) is handled by the ATS Help Desk (help.msu.edu) or by calling (517)432-6200, or through the vendor warranty repair (800) number.  Vendor warrenty support numbers can be found on our home page at cstore.msu.edu.  The MSU Computer Repair department can be found at computerrepair.msu.edu.

 

 

Q: What is the difference between the ATS Help Desk and Computer Repair?

A: The ATS Help Desk, (517)432-6200, provides no charge support (15-20 minute limit) to assist you with general software issues including anti-virus, spyware and network connectivity.  Computer Repair, (517)353-5266, is a fee-based service for hardware and software issues.

 

 

Q: At the MSU Computer Store, what if I want to return something or cancel my order:

A: Unopened software can be returned within 30 days of purchase.  All other purchases including computer orders witll be charged a 15% restocking fee.
