Product duplication and packaging, promotion through direct mail or journal advertisements, order processing and fulfillment, payment collection and royalty disbursement are among the professional services provided.

Central University funding is not provided for these services, thus the following fees are assessed:

• Hourly labor rate plus materials for consultation, research, product reproduction, development of promotional literature, postage, etc. required to get the product(s) ready for distribution and sale.
• Flat fee or percentage (%) of product sale price is assessed on all orders processed.

All fees are “advanced” by IMC with the expectation that full payment will be offset through collected sales.

Royalty disbursement is calculated and paid on a semi-annual basis (January – June or July – December) in accordance with the University’s policy governing the development of copyrighted materials.

If you have an innovative product that may be of potential interest to others outside of Michigan State University, including colleagues at other institutions or organizations, please contact our office at 353-9229 to arrange an appointment for consultation.
